At Sky Meadow Country Club in Nashua, NH, our community is more than just golf—it’s family. After the recent tragic events that impacted our close-knit group, the support, compassion, and love that have poured out from members and friends have been overwhelming. I want to share my thoughts and highlight ways we can all come together, including the GoFundMe pages created for the DeCesare family and Steve Burtman.
I’ve been part of the Sky Meadow golf community for many years now, and it truly feels like my home away from home. Even though it’s called a “country club,” it has never felt pretentious or distant. The members and staff are some of the most caring, genuine, and supportive people I’ve ever had the privilege of being around.
The events of this past weekend were unimaginable—something you never expect to happen in a place that feels so safe and familiar. Hearing the stories firsthand from those who were there still gives me chills every time I think about it.
Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by this horrible tragedy.
